Courses

SIW offers a variety of paddling courses aimed at all levels of whitewater paddling. Our primary focus is to offer whitewater canoeing and kayaking courses, but we plan to offer a range of courses which may include raft, stand-up paddle board (SUP), and pack raft.

Non-specific Activities

We will soon be updating the calendar with course offering dates. If you don’t see something on offer, please reach-out as it may be something that can be facilitated. The sooner we can gather your contact information, the quicker we can reach out when a course date is available.

Fees

Mandatory fees:

  1. $115 course fee.
  2. $30 for 1-year club membership ($25 for students).

Optional rentals:

  1. $20 for boat, paddle, skirt, helmet, and PFD.
  2. $40 for drysuit rental. A drysuit is mandatory between the months of November and April.

The maximum total cost is $205.

Cancellation

Cancellation by a Member: Participants must provide 7+ days notice to qualify for a refund. Cancellation with less than 7 days notice is due to club director discretion. If SIW can fill the course slot with a waitlisted participant, a refund will be made.

Cancellation by the Club: SIW reserves the right to cancel or reschedule all trips and training. If a trip is cancelled or re-scheduled by the club, the participant will be offered a refund or deferral. We endeavour to provide as much notice as possible for trip changes, but due to external factors such as weather and river conditions, short notice changes are occasionally required.
